Priscilla Bakalian

Head of African Milling School

Priscilla Bakalian is a 4th generation flour miller from Lebanon. As a C level flour mill executive, her experience was anchored in leading, managing and improving plant operations (600MT) as well as innovating finished products. She holds a BS in Food Science and Management and is a graduate of the Swiss School of Milling and the Swiss Institute of Feed Technology.

Berryl Ochieng

Laboratory Technician and Teacher

Berryl holds a Master’s in Food Science and Technology. She has vast experience in food and feed research such as wheat product enrichment, product optimization and improvement of nutritional quality of baked goods, both with Buhler and local universities. Her skills in food research is invaluable with imparting knowledge to our students, as well as driving innovation through leading the AMS Laboratory.

Daniel Mungai

Technical Teacher

Mungai Daniel is a graduate from the CFTRI milling school in India From 1996 to 2016, he climber his way from a trainee up to production manager in various milling companies in Kenya and abroad, gaining 20 years of experience. He since then joined Buhler as a process engineer, where he engages in wheat, maize, pulses and breakfast cereals commissioning, plant audit/surveys and flowsheet drawing.

Wangui Kinyori

Assistant Technical Teacher

Wangui is a Mechatronic Engineer by profession. She joined Buhler in 2020 as a service engineer, working diligently with Buhler machines in troubleshooting, commissioning and maintenance in multitudes of plants . This expertise has allowed her to share this hands-on knowledge with our students. Wangui is currently undergoing extensive training at the Swiss School of Milling.

Kipyegon Korir

Service Order Execution Officer

Korir holds dual National Higher Diplomas in Analytical Chemistry and Food Science. He began his career at Bühler as a Laboratory Apprentice then advanced to his current role, where he manages administrative functions, oversees end-to-end order processing, and provides technical support for laboratory operations.
